Camp Sankanac's Leadership Training Program (LTP) is for young men interested in developing their fullest potential. The program will help you develop leadership skills and maturity necessary for effective Christian service at home, church, school, or camp. Moreover, the skills, talents, and training you receive will equip you socially, morally, physically, and spiritually far into you adult life. Camp Sankanac is committed to developing responsible and effective Christian leadership in today's society.

The Leadership Training Program includes two weeks of training sessions while participating in our regular camp program. The LTP will attend morning sessions each day and possibly several at other times. The LTP will be participating in the regular camp program when not in training sessions. He may be asked to various aspects of the total camp community. During the second session, the LTP group may also be taken on an off-camp wilderness trip, an inner-city experience, or other training opportunities.

The last week of the LTP will involve a practicum of teacher training, service projects, program electives, cabin assignments, and skill development.

The Leadership Training Program is directed by skilled professionals with guest speakers and resource people incorporated throughout the four week period. We believe this program will change your and prepare you for life.

The cost for this training program is 50% off the total of three weeks of camp, plus the regular camp deposit...a great program at a very reasonable price. It is open to a limited number of young men who successfully complete our application. LTP's may go home each weekend.
