Camp registration begins at 1:00 PM on Sunday afternoon and ends at 3:30 PM. Departure time is between 8:15 AM and 9:15 AM on Saturday morning. It is important that campers be dropped off and picked up on time.
When your child arrives at camp, they will be given a brief physical examination by the camp nurse. It is not possible for the camp to allow any camper who has not been approved by the nurse to remain at camp. Campers are also not permitted to enter the cabins or cabin areas until they have been checked by the nurse.
Following registration and visiting the nurse, all campers will be required to take a swimming test. It is suggested that your camper have a bathing suit and towel handy to speed up the process.
Spending money is deposited upon arrival and used through a special camp bank. There is no reason for the camper to have money in the cabin where it can be lost. In planning how much money to give your child, remember that each child is given the opportunity to purchase three snacks a day during the afternoon. Fees are also charged for materials used in the Handcraft Loft.
All campers are covered by accident and sickness insurance. Camp Sankanac will submit all claims to the parents/guardians/ child's insurance company first.
All Campers desiring to stay for more than one week of camp must return home for the weekend. At this time we are unable to accept enrollments of more then two weeks per camper.
Only one cabin-mate request can be accepted. A mutual request between two campers will be honored. There may not be more than two years difference in ages and both camper's ages must fall within the same village.
