Youth Group Tournament May 2, 2009!!
With the growing popularity of disc-golf, we at Camp Sankanac are hosting our 2nd annual disc-golf tournament. There will be prizes awarded and tons of fun! The tournament will be played using the scramble format, with teams of four players. Your youth group may bring as many as you want. To join the tournament...we are asking each youth group to provide a donation, or at least $3 per person. (Installation of the course was ~$150 a hole). 	Our new “Professional Grade” Disc-Golf Course has been completedAn independent professional recently suggested that the Camp’s disc-golf course was in the top 25 of all the hundreds he has played. The course travels over the entire camp and has various terrains and obstacles. It is over 6,000 feet in total distance, has 18 holes and a par of 74. It is “Professional Grade” and we thank Pastor Jeff Scholl, former camper and staff, of Berean Bible Church and his friends for the construction and maintenance of this outstanding course. We put this course in to provide youth leaders with a place where they can enjoy a small group activity and build relationships with their people, young or old. What a great way to share the Gospel...having a fun activity, hiking through God’s awesome creation, and having several hours of quality time loaded with laughs and solid quality one-on-one time.
